Privacy policy

Privacy Policy

Velsorie ("we", "us", "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what personal data we collect when you visit our website or place an order, why we collect it, how we use it and the rights you have. It is written to comply with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.

Who we are

The data controller is EKAURA LTD (company number 17046566), trading as Velsorie, with its registered office at 114 Rushgrove Avenue, London, United Kingdom, NW9 6RD. Contact us about privacy matters at support@velsorie.com or on +44 1545 379066.

Shopify and other processors

Our website is hosted and our checkout is operated on the Shopify platform. Shopify acts as a processor on our behalf, storing and processing personal data to run our store, take orders and manage customer accounts, under its own data processing terms. We also use service providers such as delivery carriers, our fulfilment partner and email service providers, who process personal data only to help us provide our services to you.

Payment providers

Payments are processed securely by the payment providers enabled in our Shopify checkout. They handle your card and payment details directly; we don't receive or store your full card details. Each provider acts as an independent controller for the payment data it processes and its own privacy policy applies to that processing.

Cookies

We use cookies and similar technologies to operate our website, remember your preferences and understand how the site is used, including for analytics and, where you agree, marketing. Some cookies are essential; others need your consent. You can accept or decline non-essential cookies using the cookie banner and can change your choice at any time through the privacy settings link on our website.

Data retention

We keep personal data only as long as needed for the purposes in this policy, including to meet legal, tax and accounting requirements. Order and transaction records are typically kept for 6 years. Marketing data is kept until you withdraw consent or after a period of inactivity, after which it is deleted or anonymised.

International transfers

Some of our service providers, including Shopify, may process or store data outside the United Kingdom. Where this happens we make sure appropriate safeguards are in place, such as UK adequacy regulations or standard contractual clauses, so your data is protected to a standard equivalent to UK law.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, to have inaccurate data corrected, to ask for your data to be erased, to object to or restrict certain processing, to data portability, and to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. To exercise a right, contact us at support@velsorie.com. We'll respond within one month.

If you are unhappy with how we've handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk or by calling its helpline. We'd appreciate the chance to put things right first.
